In 1996 Eric came to realize that God was calling him into ministry of some kind. In 1998, he understood that calling to be with youth and young adults. Since then, God has been constructing a message in him - to reintroduce the issue of relationships and how to live a distinctive Christian life. Therefore, Eric has been traveling the country speaking to students as well as being a student pastor. He attended Southeastern Bible College and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Eric knows firsthand the world of this generation and the impact it has had and having regarding relationships. He wants to help others discover the importance of living a distinctive Christian life, which includes relationships. The truth is that life is a journey and a process. In other words, the way life is now is not the way it will always be. So when the journey gets tough, and you're in the valley, and you can't believe the mistakes you have made, or you just want to quit, remind yourself that it is a process. You are not finished yet. There is grace for your journey.

Gigs

Last night I went to see a couple of my friends play a gig. It went well, as I thought it would. However, while there, God answered some questions that I had been dealing with (fighting) with for the past couple of weeks. The issue was should I focus on secular songwriting or Christian. I knew God was leading me to Christian, but I have been fighting that. Last night, I just gave up and said, "okay". It was so amazing to see people worshiping God last night. Usually, I am the front man doing the playing or speaking, however, last night, I had the honor of being in the back where no one could see me, yet I could see them. It put goose bumps on me!! It got me to thinking, "I wander how God feels when He sees us worshiping Him".
